Residential Report

A Short Newsletter I Made for the Residential Living & Learning department at Tarleton State University

Software – Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

The Department of Residential Living & Learning wanted another way to show students the new residence halls that were being built besides the usual emails, word of mouth, or the website. So they asked me to design them a short, newsletter-style booklet describing these new dorms and other information regarding living on campus.

First 2 pages – Basic renderings of a dorm and instruction on how to work the website

The designed is based around arrows, bubble-like objects, and a palette I had come up with for use in a lot of projects for Tarleton departments. The palette features the official Tarleton purple and slightly different purple as well as some bright oranges and greens that (I think) compliment those purples nicely.

Middle spread of the calendar for the semester

I had designed the cover very differently at first, but decided that the first two ideas (below) didn't quite match the audience for the product, so I changed it to what it is now (credit for the renderings go to the company who built the dorms, I can't remember which one it was).
